Dr. Cole is a sixth generation Texan was born in San Antonio and raised in Gainesville, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University for two years and completed his undergraduate work at the University of North Texas, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980.

 

He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, graduating in 1984 with a Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his family practice residency in Fort Worth at John Peter Smith Hospital in 1987. Dr. Cole was certified by American Board of Family Practice (ABFP) in 1987. He was named a Fellow by ABFP in 2000.

 

Dr. Cole is a member of several professional organizations including; Tarrant County Medical Society, Tarrant County Academy of Family Practice, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians and Texas Medical Association. He is an active staff member of Harris Southwest Hospital and Baylor All Saints. Dr. Cole has served on numerous committees at both hospitals and is a past president of Tarrant County Academy of Family Physicians. He has been in private practice since 1987.

 

Dr. Cole is married and has three children, and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys working on his family’s ranch in Gainesville, as well as hunting and fishing. He also enjoys spending time in Europe, especially Prague, where his grandkids are living.
